Frequent questioned asked by Actors and Models

Q. Is there a difference in the talent industry between Los Angeles and New York?
A. L.A. has more of the episodic work, but there are equal opportunities on the East Coast. People always wonder whether they should go to Los Angeles or New York I feel that they should start in New York. In L.A., if you don't have a strong resume no one will use you. You have to make a name for yourself, just because there are so many people completing. New York is more open to new talent. I think of it as incubator. A good example is in Opera. Everyone in Opera wants to play the Metropolitan Opera House, but first you have to go to Europe and work before they'll look at you at the Met. You could be just as good, but without the experience you won't play the Met. In New York, they're more entertainment opportunities and a chance to build your resume so that you will have a better chance of being noticed in L.A.

Q. What are the requirements for acting and modeling?
A.
Know your craft. Know how to act. There are no limitations in acting. You can start at any age- look at Mary-Kate and Ashley. Or Marlee Marlin who is disabled. There are a lot of great actors who are not what we would consider beautiful, nor are they thin. But they are great actors, and when you're great, people will write you into their production.

Q. What does Glamour Model & Talent Agencies look for in aspiring talent?
A.
In children, we look for those who are very disciplined, happy, and who really want to do this. We don't want children who are being forced. If a child is doing this to make a parent happy, it is eventually evident that's why they are doing it. They are not going to be able to give the client what they need because they do not want to give it. The pressure is detrimental to the child's potential in life and in the business. As for adult market, we just look for the great actors and models.

Q. What does one require in terms of promotional tools?
A.
Actors and Models need a few good pictures and a resume. If they don't have a resume then you have to earn it. You can't paid it. If you've listed things you haven't done, you won't fool anyone. We will help those who don't have a resume put one together. Generally, we will write something about his or hers personality or prepare a short bio. This is better than creating a ridiculous resume. The photo should be your likeness and have no airbrushing. As you come into an audition, you have to look-like your picture. Nothing sexy for woman or bared chest for men, your selling your body. As for models we recommend that you have as much body poses as possible and also headshots. Don't let your photos represent anything other than what you really look like. On our personals team have a good photographer offering free testing shooting to qualified aspiring models wish working with us. (Fashion & Glamour Photo Models Studio Salvatore Vergone).

Q. What do you expect from your actors and models?
A.
Model & Talent Agency expects them to have a sense of dedication and a sense of Loyalty to themselves. Decent behavior is so important. We don't want compulsive - obsessive people who think they are a super star. Be logical and sensible and concentrate on the work that you are doing. Don't dwell on the size of your dressing room.

Q. Is there anything else an actor or a model should know?
A.
Actors and models are unemployed more than they are employed, so it's very important to have a healthy idle-time factor. A good actor or model always have another source of income when they are not working.
